Is it time to retire that ink-jet printer?
Laser printers are now available at prices and sizes suitable for home or office.
Save Money
If you’re printing over 2000 pages annually, laser printers are actually cheaper than ink-jet: the cost per page for laser printer is 3 cents per page, while for ink it’s 8 cents per page.
Out of the box, all printers come with what are called “starter cartridges”. Those for ink-jet printers will print 15 to 20 pages at most. Laser printer starter cartridges will on average print 400 to 700 pages.
An average ink cartridge will print approximately 200 pages while an average laser toner cartridge will print approximately 1000 to 2600 pages. This means that you get far more volume for the dollar and make fewer trips to purchase supplies.
Additionally, unlike ink cartridges, laser printer cartridges do not require frequent alignment test sheets and cleaning cycle sheets which waste ink.
Clear, Crisp Text
Laser printing produces sharper black text for all font and fine lines, images and graphs are printed in higher resolution for clearer and precise print outs.
Easy to Use
Laser printer cartridges handle higher volume print jobs (50-100 sheet trays in printer) and the speed of laser printers is considerably faster.
A laser printer produces waterproof print so unlike ink there is no smudging or fading.
Laser printing is less wasteful than an ink printer.
Ink is liquid therefore cartridges can dry out over a short period of time. Laser printer cartridges contain a powder which will not dry out and they have a shelf life of a year plus.
Unlike ink cartridges, laser printer cartridges will not leak liquid, damage or clog print heads.
Re-manufactured laser printer cartridges are economical and reputable retailers offer high quality products. Unlike refilled ink cartridges, the re-manufactured laser printer cartridge will not require reset procedures for printing nor do they have electronic component failure.
Size
Laser printers are now much more compact and have a larger cartridge volume.
